Journalism (Past to Present)
I somewhat understand why older more conservative journalist have a problem with the contemporary journalist. When I attended Columbia University for their College Prep program over the summer I wrote a paper on Marxism in Sports and the references I used didn't comply with the style of the literature teacher (he was a seasoned writer and a professor around 60 years of age). But he understood that the field/form of journalism and the way in which people were writing was changing. So I don't believe that older writers should make such a big deal out of the new era journalist. However they should adapt to the contemporary style with out aborting/abandoning their old (conservative) style.

Older journalists always take more pride in their work because of the amount of years it took to develop their experience.
ReplyDeleteI agree that older writers should understand journalism is changing and they should accept that and not criticize it but at the same time don't forget their own style.
