Journalism (Past to Present)

I somewhat understand why older more conservative journalist have a problem with the contemporary journalist. When I attended Columbia University for their College Prep program over the summer I wrote a paper on Marxism in Sports and the references I used didn't comply with the style of the literature teacher (he was a seasoned writer and a professor around 60 years of age). But he understood that the field/form of journalism and the way in which people were writing was changing. So I don't believe that older writers should make such a big deal out of the new era journalist. However they should adapt to the contemporary style with out aborting/abandoning their old (conservative) style.

  1. Older journalists always take more pride in their work because of the amount of years it took to develop their experience.

  2. I agree that older writers should understand journalism is changing and they should accept that and not criticize it but at the same time don't forget their own style.
