Technology is always changing things. If its truly a necessity it will find a balance in the "new" world. So as far as journalism goes it has to alter itself to stay relevant, yet it can find a way to stay balance. It doesn't have to be out with the old and on to the new. Old techniques of journalism can mix with the new techniques of journalism. Mencher fails to see the possibilities that new technology can bring to journalism. I imagine that the goal of a journalists is to gain a wide audience and to reveal new information that their audience. Why not use technology to enlighten millions instead of thousands.
