Career Investigation-Sports Broadcaster

From researching my topic from sports broadcaster I've learned a lot of things. Three of them are

-Sports broadcasting started being broadcast on television the year of 1939.

-Most broadcasters have an 4-year degree in broadcasting.

-The first broadcast of the NFL was broadcasted by NBC.

1939?! Did it start in RADIO in 1939? TV wasn't mainstream for about a decade later.
