Student Journalism

I feel as though there should be certain limitations pertaining to student journalist. Professional journalist have received degrees or have went to college for internships. It is appropriate to say student journalist should shadow or possibly participate in internships in order to receive the proper experience. It is as if you are skipping from high school to become a doctor, or something of that nature. By fully knowing everything you are studying or going to college for, it allows you to fully understand your job, and how you are suppose to go about certain things within journalism.
